Presentation and performance to introduce Howard Hanson's "Symphonic Rhapsody" for solo piano, Op. 14, discovered in May, 2016. The work's manuscript was found folded inside a cardboard poster announcing a concert of Percy Grainger at the College of the Pacific, April 28, 1920, and was hidden in a box of miscellaneous items belonging to Hanson. The discovery occurred at the Sibley Music Library, Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, during a visit there regarding research for my upcoming book, "Before Eastman," which chronicles Hanson's pre-Eastman life and work.

My edition of Hanson's "Symphonic Rhapsody" will be published by Carl Fischer in October, 2017.
